Cadets 1-2-3 in Orienteering Competition
Spalding Air Cadets from 1406 Squadron and fellow Holbeach Air Cadets from 2430 Squadron took all three podium places at the Lincoln Orienteering Groups 2015 Spring Series staged at the University of Lincoln on the 28th May.
The cadets took part in all six of the Series events on the evenings during April and May at different locations in Lincolnshire, the cadets competed for the Short Course Trophy; their scores for each event being aggregated to give the final results.
1406 Squadron has always had a strong history of cadets participating in Orienteering; they find the outdoor adventure sport, involving route-finding with map and compass between control points offers both a mental and physical challenge which they enjoy.
