The Squadron offers opportunities to take part in a wide variety of activities that range from flying, shooting, adventure training, sports and the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme through to orienteering, canoeing – the Air Cadet Organisation is certainly a place of opportunity and challenge. The Royal Air Force Air Cadets develops a variety of skill sets for you to be able to lead, manage, communicate, work within a team effectively and to have the confidence and self discipline that will set you above others when it comes to you starting your journey through the wider world, facing your challenges and achieving your life long ambitions and goals. We at 1406 (Spalding) Squadron pride ourselves in developing individuals within our ranks.  Challenging people to push themselves and expand their horizons.

Aims of the Air Cadets

  • To promote and encourage among young people a practical interest in aviation and the Royal Air Force.
  • To provide training which will be useful in the Services and civilian life.
  • To foster the spirit of adventure and develop qualities of leadership and good citizenship.

Regions: 6 (We are in Central and Eastern Region)

Wings: 36 (We are in Bedfordshire and Cambridgeshire Wing)
